John Witter (Owner)
John has always had a love and passion for working with all animals. After years of working with dog rescues, doing foster care, and studying dog behavior- John founded Wheels, Walks, and Wags. He envisioned a safe, structured, and fun place for dogs to play with a holistic approach to care- fulfilling the mental and physical needs of dogs using methods of positive reinforcement. John also loves to write and is a retired history teacher. He lives with his wife and daughter in Tucson, and has dedicated his life to meeting the needs of the dogs and clients in our community.
I am a certified dog trainer, a veterinary assistant, and have almost ten years of experience in the dog and pet care industry. I have six dogs of my own, as well as foster dogs. I am passionate about animal rescue. Wheels, Walks, and Wags is a dream come true for me, and my commitment to the love and care of animals is unwavering. We are more than a doggy daycare- we are a family, and treat your dogs like our own.
Sadie LOVES her walks with Mel! She used to lunge and bark on-leash, but we have seen a tremendous improvement since she started with Wheels Walks and Wags! Thank you!!!

Maya and Zoey love it when Mel takes them to the park! She is professional, flexible, and courteous. I can even order her homemade dog treats that my dogs LOVE!
